
Richard J. Schneider joined IGT in 2003. He is currently IGT's Executive Vice President of Product Strategy responsible for product management and the development of IGT's systems and games products. From 2006 to 2008 Rich was IGT's Senior Vice President of Server Based Gaming and from 2004 to 2006 he was President of IGT Systems.
From 1997 to 2003 Mr. Schneider served as President and Chief Operating Officer in addition to other management positions at Acres Gaming, prior to IGT's acquisition of Acres in 2003. In these various roles, Mr. Schneider was instrumental in creating and proving the value of system bonusing products that have become the industry standard operator "toolkit" for building patron loyalty and driving casino revenues.
In addition, over the years Mr. Schneider played an integral role in the inception of the Gaming Standards Association and the promulgation of open communication of standards in the gaming industry. Mr. Schneider has held several key positions in GSA, including Board Member and Vice Chairman of the Board.
Prior to his service at Acres and IGT, Mr. Schneider served as Vice President of Game Development for CDS and Director of Engineering for United Coin Machine. He holds a BS in Engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
