Bio» Fatma Nasoz, PhD

Fatma NasozFatma Nasoz is an Assistant Professor of School of Informatics at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Her major research interests lie in the field of Human Computer Interaction and Affective Social Computing with Artificial Intelligence with a particular focus on assessing and responding to affect and emotions in multimodal environments and virtual reality environments. She is specifically interested in designing and building intelligent agents that can create models of their users for an enhanced natural communication during HCI.

She earned her PhD and MSc degrees in Computer Science from University of Central Florida and her BSc degree in Computer Engineering from Bogazici University, in 2004, 2003, and 2000 respectively. She is a member of AAAI and ACM and she has published multiple scientific articles.
