
Laura is the Chief Information Officer for Clark County, Nevada, one of the fastest-growing areas in the country. In this capacity, Laura has the pleasure of serving the technology needs to over 40 diverse local government departments and agencies including health and human services, justice and public safety, development and environmental management and internal services.
Prior to joining Clark County, Laura worked for 11 years at MGM MIRAGE in a variety of roles, including VP and CTO for MGM MIRAGE. She was responsible for infrastructure strategy and design at MGM MIRAGE and led various engineering efforts for two property openings, and assisted with two large mergers and acquisitions. She also acted as the VP of Technology for CityCenter, the largest private development in the country at the time.
Among her achievements, Laura is most proud in participating in the launch of the Las Vegas chapter of WITI (Women in Technology International), whose mission is to empower women worldwide to achieve unimagined possibilities and transformations through technology, leadership and economic prosperity. Laura earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science at Oregon State University and is a native to Henderson, Nevada.
